WPE-Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy
The editorial process
WEENTECH Publishers operates a stringent peer-review procedure maintaining ethics and high standards for publication in academia. We follow single blind review process where more than two reviewers are asked to provide feedback on any submitted manuscript and this is followed by final decision by the Editor in Chief responsible for respective journal. The process is managed and administered by Journal manager. The Editor-in-Chief have authority to maintain and regulate the quality of publications, streamlining the publication process, getting advice from editorial board members and adhering the final decision.
The summary of the editorial framework has been provided below in separate sub-section with additional information as follows;

Initial check
Once author submit their manuscript, initial checks are carried out by the respective editorial board members to find:
– Is the manuscript suitable for publication;
– Detailed plagiarism report for the submitted manuscript;
– Authors affiliation, qualification and decelerations;
– Rejection of poorly prepared manuscript without  further review process;
– Assigning a manuscript number and
– Any conflict of interest among submitting authors.
Commencement of peer review process
Once submitted, manuscript is gone through the initial check and if respective editorial team is satisfied with the quality of the manuscript, the same is sent further for the review process. The review process is one sided blind review where authors doesn’t know the reviewers. However, authors are asked to provide name of three experts in their field for review process, though there is no guarantee that manuscript will be sent to any of them.
In order to make decision on any submitted manuscript at least reports from two reviewers are sought and final decision stand with the Editor in Chief. WEENTECH publishers always use highly qualified editorial board members, reviewers, experts and in many instances internet search is used to identify the new and talented experts for any journal. It is mandatory while sending the manuscript to reviewers to check;
– They are highly qualified, have at least 5 year experience after PhD or equivalent reputation in the industry;
– There is no conflict of interest between authors and reviewers; and
– They are active researchers and publishing in journals of high quality.
In order to provide efficient, quality and improved service WEENTECH Publishers staff manages all communication with editors, reviewers and authors. All the editors and reviewers have access to check the progress of submissions online. Editors are able to invite new reviewers, and Editor-in-chief are able to provide final decision.
All the revised submission are checked again by the reviewers and in any circumstances if previous reviewers is not replying, the opinion of new reviewers are sought before reaching final decision. Only editor-in chief have authority to accept the paper. On several occasions when reviewers recommend only minor changes/corrections- the manuscript is revised by authors and will not always be sent back to reviewers again. Though this decision lies with the Editor and if he/she thinks to seek further opinion on quality of the manuscript, same will be carried out.
Editorial tasks
Academic editors of the journal make final decision on any submitted manuscript, it can be Editor-in-chief, Guest Editor, Invited Editors or Editorial Board Members.
These people will be able to make decision by choosing – accept, reject, revision required for submitted manuscripts. In order to make decision, reviewers reports are taken into account by the Editors however, Editors are free to agree or disagree with the recommendations made by the reviewers.
WEENTECH Publishers provide the support mechanism for fair, transparent and fast review process and do not interfere with the editorial decisions. It is important that all academic editors must check;
– Suitability, quality and rigorousness of reviewers comment;
– Qualification and competence of selected reviewers; and
– Quality of final submission, plagiarism reports.

Publication ethics and communications
If any ethical issues are raised by readers or editorial board members related to particular journal, its Editor-in-Chief will look after the case. A formal complaint will be lodged and progress will be monitored on regular basis. It might be possible that submitted manuscript authors can be asked to correct the concerns or retract the manuscript. A details policy on this can be found from
Other key features which we follow for publication ethics and communications during the publishing process;
Authorship- For any submitted manuscript, authorship is described as contribution made by a researcher for that research. It is responsibility of corresponding author to follow the academic norms and supply the statement that all authors have been named in the manuscript as per their contribution. Authors with maximum contribution name should come as first author but this is not must that the same person is corresponding author. Key points to note;
• Each author must have made significant contribution in the manuscript at some point;;
• Corresponding author has to make sure that all authors have approved the final manuscript submitted for the publication;
• All authors must also agree towards the quality, accuracy and amount of contributions made by the researchers;
• It is sole responsibility of corresponding author and co-authors to ensure that everyone who have contributed been named in the manuscript.
WEENTECH Publisher do not expect all authors to sign an affidavit to prove that authorship norms have been met, this can be done by corresponding author only. During the submission process corresponding author is expect to submit statement on Author contributions, quality and accuracy of the data and research work, conflict of interest statement and duplicity statement declaring the same manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere or been published before. Failing to these manuscript will be rejected and sent to the authors just after initial check. Having recurring two incidents from same author- where norms have not been followed corresponding author will be barred from any future submissions.
Plagiarism, data manipulation, result fabrications- Plagiarism, data manipulation and result fabrications are very serious issues and dealt with very strong actions at WEENTECH Publishers. Authors are not allowed to carry or promote such practices in the publication. Plagiarism is where author use someone else work or statement or image or table or any other form of scholarly material without acknowledging them or copying the exactly same. Office of Research Integrality (https://ori.hhs.gov/ori-policy-plagiarism) clearly defines the plagiarism and authors are encouraged to read it if they are new for academic writing.
WEENTECH publisher carries out plagiarism report on each article before submission and manuscript with high similarity check will be sent back to authors without going through review process.
Research misconduct (data manipulation, fabrication, use of someone else data, etc.) are dealt with our Editor-in-Chief and strong actions has been proposed for the authors who carry out such practices in the academic writing.
Conflict of interests and competing interests- Authors are supposed to provide competing and conflict of interest statement for each submission. Authors are also supposed to acknowledge their funder e.g. correct employment affiliation and any other personal financial statement if there is any.
WEENTECH publisher also have transparent policy for reviewers, editors, editor-in-chiefs to declare any competing interest if there is any.
Duplication of publication- Regarding duplication of publication our policy is very clear, authors should submit only manuscript which are original and not published or submitted elsewhere for publication before or at the same time. Also, while your manuscript is under review authors should not submit the same to anywhere else.
If author is using any material which is published elsewhere before, they should provide the written copyright permission from the publisher and submit along with the manuscript. Without submission of copyright permission manuscript will not go into production process.
Copying and distributing images- If authors are using images published elsewhere they should seek copyright and approval if they are using similar images or modifying them. Modifications should not be done by authors without proper permission from the person who has created the material at first instance.
Communications confidentiality- Communications starting from submission of a manuscript till the final decision are all considered confidential if not stated otherwise. Authors, Editors, Editorial Board Members, Reviewers are required to keep peer review process confidential. The peer review process is one side blind and identity of reviewers will not be disclosed or discussed at any stage of peer review process.

If it is required to contact funders, Institutions, Reviewers in case of investigating any misconduct we reserve the right to do so.
Reviewers are not allowed to share the manuscript with their colleague or anyone else for seeking their opinion. If it is very important to do so, they need to take prior approval from Editorial office and share the contact details of the respective person. It will be Editors decision to invite the recommended person to further review the manuscript as if required.
Our policy on retractions and corrections

At WEENTECH Publishers we have defined policy for retractions, corrections and addendum.
Retractions On occasions it is possible that presented data and information is not accurate, further conflict of interest arise between authors which cannot be solved, issue of plagiarism, misrepresented or copied from somewhere else. In such types of manuscript scholarly contribution is lost and such articles threatens the quality, value and integrity of academic publications.
Once Editor-in-Chief and journal manager have been alerted with academic misconduct, a committee having members from Editorial board and WEENTECH Publishers will be formed to look after issue and recommend further decision to all involved stakeholders. If Editor-in-Chief recommends retraction, retracted version will be published along with the original manuscript submitted earlier. Earlier version of manuscript will have mark retraction on whole manuscript.
These retracted articles should not be cited by authors in future because of poor quality of the content, however the whole retracted text will be available for others to pick and used by indexing and abstracting services.
Corrections, Addendum, Comments and Replies In general corrections are made during review process and authors have to abide with the review timeline. However, once manuscript is published, any corrections required in the manuscript will be published in a different section under “Corrections notice” in the ongoing issue of journal.
Several times readers make direct communication with editors. These comments and communications are in the form of short letters raising a question or discussion on published manuscript text, methodology, experimental design, etc. If the Editor-in Chief finds these communications are making contribution and have scholarly value, they will be published in the ongoing volume of the respective journal.
